Another thought...

I'm siting munching a box of matzos a Jewish friend of mine had left over from Passover when I noticed that it says on the front of the box "baked and packed in Jerusalem". No how do you suppose that this here little box of crackers got itself so far from home?

I was informed today that I should go to mycokerewards.com to claim my reward. For buying a coke. Apparently, my purchase of a coke is not amply rewarded by the enjoyment of a cold beverage. This enjoyment is simply the necessary consequence of the purchase. But indeed, there are yet rewards and pleasures beyond this, for lo, I, the mighty consumer have stimulated the economy, employed the masses, maintained the social order and given impetus to that general forward and upward progress of the human race, of which this Coca-Cola is but one evidence.

Let's try this again

I decided I am going to start a blog. They say the best way to improve your writing ability is to write often. I don't write often, and when I do write I find it difficult to accurately put down my thoughts. Unless I pretend that I'm talking to someone. The best, and often the only way, I can really work through a thing in my mind is to pretend I am explaining it to somebody, even if they reside only in my brain. My imaginary friends, if you will. I intend for this blog to be a place for me to dump thoughts. I do not intend for anyone else to read it. I do not intend to link to anybody else's blog. My hope is that the format will make it easier for me to think things out because it will be easier for me to pretend I'm talking to someone. If anyone ever should find this, you should bear this in mind as you read. The other hope is that I will post here often, something which I am not very good about doing in a real world journal, for some reason. It is easier to type than to write longhand, I suppose. Although I rather like writing with a pen. I don't know. This isn't the first time I've started a journal, so it may peter out like the other ones have.
